ABOUT ME
Integrating Indigenous wisdom and culture into western medicine.
I am a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. I began my academic career as a science administrator with the American Indian Alaska Native MS to PhD Nursing Science Bridge Project, whose aim was to double the number of Indigenous nurses with PhD degrees in the United States.
In addition to advocating for increased access to higher education, my work examines Native American/Alaskan Native youth living with diabetes and obesity as well as the indigenization and decolonization of nursing curricula.
